Position Summary
Inbound Found is seeking a junior web developer (100% remote) to assist on our WordPress web development projects and related website work. You will collaborate with a small team (project manager, senior backend developer, frontend developer and ux designer) for larger projects and handle tasks independently on smaller projects and tasks, always related to websites and/or development.
Job Responsibilities
Related typical work includes:
- using a page builder to create and update webpages in WordPress using gutenberg blocks
- frontend coding (HTML/CSS/JS) of custom sections and blocks
- adding, importing and migrating content, media, and metadata between old and new websites,
- handling clean up data before importing, checking website for 404 errors, or other related web administrative work
- doing setup, customization and reporting of website analytics tools (like Google Analytics, Hotjar, or Hubspot Analytics)
A best fit candidate:
Has:
- a computer with a reliable internet connection and specs to handle the work common for a junior developer (8GB+ RAM, 100GB space, etc., webcam, headset)
- 1-2 years of web development related experience
- excellent attention to detail, passion and curiosity about the work, and works well with others
- good communication skills for a junior resource – you are not afraid to ask questions, request more information if unable to confidently complete an assignment, or speak up about how you are feeling
- a portfolio of work they can show and speak to or able to discuss work they’ve done and point to live projects or GitHub repos
- the ability to quickly learn new technology and terms and willing to get up to speed on our development patterns, theming, and plugins used on existing client sites:
- JS / PHP / SQL queries, FTP, GIT, React-based gutenberg blocks
- WordPress theming and plugins like Woocommerce, Custom Post Types, ACF Blocks (ACF Pro + Gutenberg Blocks) ACF Extended, WP All Import/Export, Kadence theme and blocks, WPML and its various addons, Gravity Forms, WP Mail SMTP, WP Migrate DB Pro.
- WordPress development patterns like CPTs, custom taxonomies, and WordPress database structure
Is willing to:
- do trainings on your own and under the support of a senior resource
- work 8 hours per day and during a 5 hour overlap of EST hours (9am to 2pm), occasionally have the client calls as late as 3:30pm
- be trained for up to 10 hours per week, often self-directed with provided online courses
- learn to specialize in a direction we would need. For example, a junior developer may be asked to specialize in learning about one of the following:
- WPML – Multilingual plugin we use
- Website Analytics – setting up GA4 custom events, and handling UGA to GA4 migrations
- A specific web technology like React, GraphQL, or Neo4j
A plus but not required:
- knowledge of WordPress
- certification or education related to the work we do: software engineering, web development, data management, data science, marketing, English, etc.,
- familiariaty with principles of UX, SEO, or CRO
- knowledge of and previously used project management software
- previous experience coding on a team

- Junior resources can do up to 90 minutes of training as part of their workday as long as they’re able to complete their work in a timely fashion
- Minimum of 4 hours of senior level attention per week, often you will get close attention from a senior level person for much more time than that depending on the work that week
- Two built-in performance reviews per year with raise evaluations
- Flex hours – as long as you work a 5 hour overlap with EST (9am to 2pm) the rest of your hours are yours to decide when you work them that day, often we allow you to take a day and make it up
